Dr. Chi-Ching Lin and Ms. Hsiu-Wen Lin participated in the “Forum on Transforming Metabolic Chronic Diseases Care with Value-driven Approaches-the SKN Experience” held in Taiwan on April 18-19, and Dr. Lin was the opening keynote speaker of the forum. Dr. Lin was the opening keynote speaker of the Forum; the topics were “Fighting Against Metabolic Chronic Diseases Targeting Diabetic Disease: from Practice Guidelines to Taiwan Experiences” and “Capacity Development in Taipei Veterans General Hospital”. Nurse Lin was the speaker of “SKN meets Taiwan in Diabetes/ CKD Self-Care” and the forum was well received by the guests from the Caribbean region. After the forum, Nurse Lin continued to organize a workshop on metabolic disease prevention and treatment in SKN and visited the seed trainees to evaluate the effectiveness of their training. She also worked hard with her SKN friends on the prevention and treatment of metabolic chronic diseases, thus enhancing the interaction between the two sides in the healthcare field.
