Overview

         The Center of Sleep Medicine at Taipei Veterans General Hospital was founded in 1980 by Chief. Shiao Guang-Ming as the Sleep Laboratory housed in Chest Medicine Department. The initial research population was mainly patients with sleep-disordered breathing.  Inasmuch as the progress of sleep science and complexity of sleep disorders, the Center of Sleep Medicine was formally established in 2013 after subsuming sleep-related specialists, including physicians trained in  pulmonology, psychiatry, surgery, neurologist and dentistry.
The Center is one of leading Sleep Centers in Taiwan, focusing on diagnosis, treatment and research for sleep disorders.  We provides standard diagnostic testing and multidisciplinary consultation  for people bothered by sleep problems. We also train physicians and technicians who want to be a sleep specialist.
