Precautions
1. Chinese herbal medicine:
- Taking concentrated Chinese herbal medicine extract with warm water.
- Double-boiling Chinese herbal medicine decoction before having it.
2. Acupuncture:
Before treatment:
- Please wear loose and comfortable clothing for acupuncture treatment.
- Hungry, overeaten, drunk, exhausted, terrified or excessive stress should not accept acupuncture treatment.
- Relaxation of your whole body before treatment can enhance the efficacy of acupuncture therapy
- Avoid acupuncture with skin infections, ulcers, sores, spontaneous hemorrhage or clotting problems.
- Please inform your physicians if it’s your first time being punctured or you used to faint during acupuncture treatment.
- Please notify your physicians if you have implanted pacemaker or other electronic equipment.
During treatment:
- Keep joyful mood during treatment, don’t move your body or change positions randomly in order to avoid acupuncture needles falling down and dangerous situations.
- Supposing feel uncomfortable symptoms during acupuncture, such as dizziness, nausea, cold sweating, palpitation, short breathing, or dyspnea, please tell our doctors and nurses as soon as possible.
- Mild sour sensation, numbness, swelling, and pain are normal phenomenon.
- Stroke, inconvenient, and other critically ill patients should accompany with family members or care-givers so as to prevent emergency incidences.
After treatment:
- To avoid bleeding, do not rub pinhole after acupuncture.
- Mild subcutaneous hemorrhage or bruises are normal conditions, bruises will be absorbed few days later.
- In some situations, patients may aware of temporary exacerbating symptoms, do not over concerning, it will relieve 2-3 days later.
