Adult Health Check program is launched by Health Promotion Administration (HPA), Ministry of Health and Welfare (MoHW), Taiwan. We provide this service regularly at our Physical Check-up Clinic.

[Note] This service is only provided to persons with a Taiwan National Health Insurance (NIH) IC card. For persons without a Taiwan NIH card or persons with a NIH card but do not meet the eligibilitites, please visit Family Medicine Clinic for advice and checkup. 

Applicable population:

• Adults aged 40-64 years are eligible for the subsidized adult health check once every three years;
• Patients with polio aged 35 years or over are eligible for the subsidized checkup once a year;
• Indigenous people aged 55 years or over are eligible for the subsidized checkup once a year;
• Adults aged 65 years or over are eligible for the subsidized checkup once a year.

Required documents for attending the appointment:

• ID card and Taiwan national health insurance card.

Process: 

1. First stage, first-time visit: personal history questionnaire, physical examination, blood test (please fasting for 6-8 hours), and urine test.
2. Second stage, second-time visit (approximately 1 week after the first-time visit): health counseling including recommendations based on the results of health examination, and receive the formal report.

Note: 

• Adults aged 45-79 years and indigenous people aged 40-79 years are further eligible for a subsidized screening for Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and Hepatitis C antibody (Anti-HCV) once in their lifetime.
• If the first stage is completed but the person did not return for the second stage, the health checkup report will be kept on file for six months and then sent to the medical records department afterwards.
• ​If the blood test and urine test have been issued but the person did not show up for blood and urine tests as scheduled, the imcompleted health checkup report will be kept on file for six months and then be destroyed  afterwards in order to protect personal privacy.

Cost:

• NTD 100/person for the whole checkup. The fee has been subsidized by  HPA MoHW.
