主要想了解台灣鄉下家醫科醫師執業內容與城市同業有無不同 
研究構想緣由 
北榮家醫三年住院醫師訓練裡 
第二年起 
有半年在宜蘭縣鄉三星鄉、冬山鄉、頭城鎮衛生所(群體醫療執業中心)學習 
訓練期滿 
不少科友也並非在都會執業 
因而好奇區域間的執業內容差異 

研究結果顯示 
家醫科醫師執業內容並無顯著的城鄉差異 
推敲原因 
可能台灣地狹人稠 
外傷、重症、特殊疾病等 
很快可至醫院或其它專科診所處理 

這個結果並非特例 
今晚該期刊還同時刊登兩篇類似主題的論文 
荷蘭研究顯示 
鄉下醫師未必工作時間較長 
主要端視是否獨立或合夥執業
