Indications: Porphyria.

 

Treatment of acute intermittent rhodopsinosis, ectopic rhodopsinosis, acute exacerbation of hereditary rhodopsinosis.

 

Pharmacological mechanism: Proheme will inhibit the liver and bone marrow from synthesizing rhodopsin.

 

Hemin therapy inhibits the pathway of rhodopsin/proheme synthesis by inhibiting it.

Dosage and usage: 1. Each bottle of amp contains 250 mg human hemin, diluted with 0.9% NaCl when used, and the diluted injection must be used within one hour.

 

2. The dose is 3 mg/kg/day of hemoglobin per day for 4 consecutive days. The administration should be injected slowly for at least 30 minutes, and intravenously injected with 0.9% NaCl for 10-15 minutes after each injection.

 

For more severe symptoms, the dose can be repeated every 12 hours, but the total dose within 24 hours should not exceed 250 mg.
