《研究興趣》

My research interests have been devoted to exploring nanomaterials-enabled technologies for biomedical applications, for examples treatment of genetic disease and development of vaccines. More specifically, my research has been working to apply reprogramming technique to generate patient-specific hiPSC as an in vitro model for investigating the pathophysiologic mechanism of inherited disease, e.g., MERRF syndrome, Fabry disease, cystic fibrosis. In the meantime, I also established an extensive collaboration network with UCLA for exploiting the use of supramolecular nanoparticle (SMNP) vectors for co-delivery of CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing system (including Cas9 protein, single-guide RNA, and donor DNA plasmid) to precisely modify the nucleotide sequence for treating genetic diseases, e.g., beta hemoglobinopathies and X-linked juvenile retinoschisis.

  2. 將誘導多能幹細胞分化成肺類器官,並進行遺傳性疾病及傳染性疾病機制探討。
