Teaching Team

In accordance with the Taipei Veterans General Hospital's regulations for the establishment of Residency Review Committee (RRC) teaching teams for specialty residents

Training Target

Recruitment of first to fifth-year residents from main training and cooperative training hospitals

Training Program

Under the premise of complying with the statutory working hours for residents, plan courses covering orthopedic specialties, interdisciplinary topics, medical ethics, and teaching and research skills based on the Ministry of Health and Welfare's curriculum standards for orthopedic specialist physician training

Training Program Director

In accordance with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's regulations for the appointment of training program directors for specialist physicians

Core Courses

Include General Orthopedics (including bone diseases, tumors, infections), Traumatology, Joint Reconstruction, Pediatric Orthopedics, Hand and Foot Orthopedics, Spinal Surgery, Sports Medicine. The cooperative training hospital (Kuang Tien General Hospital, Kuang Tien Medical Society) specializes in Orthopedic Traumatology, Pediatric Orthopedics, and Community Medicine.

The Department of Orthopedics at Taipei Veterans General Hospital offers the most comprehensive training program in the country, consistently ranking first in the national evaluations of orthopedic specialty hospitals. It boasts a distinguished history with a 100% pass rate for orthopedic specialist physicians.

Clinical Training Program Design

1. According to the training standards for specialist physicians in orthopedics in the Republic of China, the basic core training items for residents are formulated, divided into yearly training programs, and each professional training item is supervised and guided by attending physicians.

2. Annual review of the training program, discussing and reviewing and revising the training course plan with clinical tutors.
