- Applicants must be healthy and keep good performance records at their own institution or school.
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred, especially speaking and comprehension.
- Generally, the students for the last year in pharmacy school are preferred to apply the training program. Applicants should have achieved the required years of courses equivalent to our local counterpart of courses before applying for training program according to our national policy.
- The digital passport-size photo
- The copy of your passport
- The copy of your student ID (both sides with valid date) or your enrollment certificate from your medical school with dates and stamp (applicants must be enrolled in a medical school and should be in clinical years)
- The letter of recommendation from your Dean or faculty of your school, proves that you are in your final two years of the academic (clinical years)
- The curriculum vitae
- The official academic transcript(s)
- The proof of your personal travel and health insurance approximately above NT$1,000,000 that will cover the DATES you travel and study in Taiwan (You could submit it AFTER your application has been approved)
- The normal chest X-ray report signed or stamped by a physician. It must be done in 90 days prior to the start or reporting date of your elective revealing no suspicion of Tuberculosis (TB) (You could submit it AFTER your application has been approved)
- The COVID-19 Vaccination Records with one to three doses of inoculation (if you have it).
- For pharmacy students:
Before submitting an official application to the Department of Medical Education, Taipei VGH, you are required to first confirm your participation and obtain your school’s approval, and then complete the Registration for International Clinical Elective for Pharmacy Students and upload the Information Security and Confidentiality Agreement. - For pharmacy professionals:
Before submitting an official application to the Department of Medical Education, Taipei VGH, you are required to first contact the program coordinator to confirm your training schedule, and then complete the Pre-Application Request for the International Training Program for Professionals.
