Rehabilitation Ward Introduction
Location Located on the fifth floor, first area (Ward A051) of Chung-Cheng Building, Taipei Veterans General Hospital
Origins Taipei Veterans General Hospital established the rehabilitation ward in 1959 and initially set up a rehabilitation department to provide outpatient services and assist inpatient rehabilitation treatments in various wards. With the increasing demand of the times, the hospital officially established the Rehabilitation Specialty Ward on December 3rd, 1990, bringing more diverse services to the public.
Purpose The purpose is to restore the maximum physical, mental, social, psychological, occupational, and economic abilities of the disabled, enabling them to regain self-reliance and have the ability to earn a living. Focus on the patient's "ability" and maximize it, rather than the patient's "disability" and give correction.
