Introduction |
The Division of Cardiovascular Surgery provides comprehensive surgical intervention for all diseases of the heart and vessels by using the newly constructed hybrid operating room. We have 84 beds available, including 16 in the intensive care unit , and 9 cardiovascular surgeons.Our services include: ‧Cardiac Surgery : CABG , cardiac valve repair or replacement , congenital heart disease , heart transplantation , ECMO , and VAD . ‧ Endovascular Stent Graft Surgery : Minimally invasive endovascular stent graft surgery for thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA) , abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) , and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) . |

Tentative Schedule |
WEEK ONE 1.Participate in resident work rounds & attending teaching/management rounds. 2.Participate in pre-operative, operative and post-operative management of patient undergoing cardiac surgery WEEK TWO Exposure to standard and complex cardiac surgical procedures from coronary artery and valve surgery to complex valve repair and aortic aneurysm surgery. WEEK THREE Exposure to heart failure surgery including and ECMO, assist devices and heart transplantation. WEEK FOUR Exposure to endovascular stent graft surgery including TAA,AAA, TAVI. |
