【INTRODUCTION】

Technology Transfer Office, a task force group, was established in 2000 and affiliated with Medical Research Department (MRD) in 2005. Whereas Taipei Veterans General Hospital (Taipei VGH) having been the national medical center assigned with three major missions of medical treatment, school teaching, and research, different medical units or associate departments of Taipei VGH always keep a great deal of research & development (R&D) cooperation projects with external entities, including industrial, governmental, academic, and research institutes (IGA institutes), on school teaching training, new medical technology, clinical experiments of medicines and medical instruments, information exchange, and technical innovation. The “Cooperation Projects and Research Development Achievement Managing Guidelines of Industry-Government-Academic  Institutes” (the Guidelines) was incorporated by Taipei VGH Medical Research & Education Department (MRE) in 2007 to provide the authority for Taipei VGH in the promotion of cooperation projects with external IGA institutes.
