Division of Occupational Therapy at Taipei Venterans General Hospital Psychiatry Department is qualified to assess and understand the whole person and their valued life roles within the context of the illness . Through use of meaningful activities, the occupational therapist develops, restores, promotes and prevents change in daily function. With a focus on client-centered ,we collaborate with the patient and multidiscipline to optimize quality of life.

Services

We provide specialized program to both patients admitted to the hospital and outpatients to facilitate maximum use of function to meet demands of the person’s  working, social, personal and domestic environment.

We offer:

• * Evaluation：using interview、observation and other evaluation tools to assess person’s  performance pattern、skill and related functions.
• * Individual and/or group treatment sessions：including expressive/creative activities、handicrafts、exercise、recreation activities、ADL training、interpersonal  training、psychoeducation etc.
• * Work hardening program
• * Consultation

Education

• * We cooperate with medical universities and provide fieldwork training program to supervise student’s clinical practice.
• * We provide post-graduate clinical training program for newly-appointed Occupational Therapist to cultivate and facilitate professional capability
