Psychiatric social workers are stationed in hospitals and specialized in providing in-/out-patient services. We play an important role in linking the medical and social services to facilitate patients’ recovery and rehabilitation in the community. We also provide compassionate and supportive care to our patients and families.

Services are listed below:

1. 1. Social Welfare Services: to provide patients and families who are in need of financial or social welfare assistance.
2. 2. Family Therapy and Children Counseling Services: to strengthen the family as a unit, to develop caring interpersonal relationships, to enable individuals and family members to prevent personal and family problems during the family therapy sessions or parenting group programs.
3. 3. Services for Elders: to enable elderly people to live in dignity and to provide necessary support to them.
4. 4. Services for People with Disabilities: to develop the mental and social capabilities of people with disabilities, and to ensure and promote their full participation in the community.
5. 5. Social Networking Services：to provide services for patients and families to connect rehabilitation programs and half-way house resources in the community.
6. 6. Volunteer hot-line Services：to provide volunteer services for hot-line support.
7. 7. Field Practicum：to provide social work students the opportunity to engage in direct social work practice experiences with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
