Training Curriculum

Single-Specialization Resident Doctor(單專長住院醫師)
(1) The 1st year Resident shall be assigned to the Internal Medicine Department, and rotate on a monthly basis through Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Toxicology, Respiratory Therapy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, culminating in a 3 months shift in Emergency Medicine.
(2) The 2nd year Resident shall be assigned to the Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit for one month; Cardiology Intensive Care Unit for one month; ultrasound training for 1 month; Emergency Medicine for 2 months; community outreach for 1 month; Diagnostic Imaging for 2 months; Psychiatry for 1 month; and Trauma Orthopaedics for 2 months.
(3) The 3rd year Resident shall be assigned to Pediatrics for 2 months; Anesthesia / Dermatology for 1 month; Disaster Medicine for 1 month; Community ER for 1 month; Ophthalmology / ENT for 1 month; and Core Content for 6 months.
 

Dual-Specialization Resident Doctor (Trauma Surgery / Emergency Medicine):( 雙專長住院醫師(外科與創傷/急診醫學)
(1) 1st  - 4th years: training provided by the Department of Surgery.
(2) 5th – 6th years: receive training in the following areas: trauma treatment; Attending Physician requirements; Disaster Medicine and Urgent Care; Pediatrics Emergencies; Ultrasound (gastrointestinal, gynecological, cardiac) training; Community Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.

 

Chief residence:( 總醫師)
(1) Attending Physician training (administrative, instructional, clinical, ER and Disaster Medicine)
 

Fellowship:( 進修醫師)
(1) Receive training in acute and critical ailments in an Intensive Care unit environment, including ER-ICU, ICU, Surgical ICU, RCU, NCU. Stroke-ICU, CCU, and Medical-ICU.
(2) Participate in relevant workshops and seminars, and conduct fundamental and clinical research
