Thank you for your interest in our Elective Pharmacy Training Program at Taipei Veterans General Hospital.
Our elective programs are tailored to ensure that you will gain a wide range of experience and the opportunity to develop your skills in pharmaceutical care. You will get the chance to work with the assigned clinical pharmacist, qualified to be your preceptor for inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services. Additionally, you may also interact with other clinical pharmacists in different specialties for other patient care. To earn more health-system pharmacy experiences integrating specialized clinical pharmacy practice with hospital dispensing operations.
We offer a comprehensive multi-disciplinary elective program, which is generally composed as follows:
- Outpatient pharmacy services
- Outpatient drug information services
- Oncology pharmacy services & Parenteral nutrition services
- Traditional medicine pharmacy services
- Clinical pharmacy services*
*The recommendations for your clinical rotation are as follows: critical care, cardiology (incl. pharmacist-led clinic services), transplantation, and other specialties.
The preceptor and other supervisors will be in charge of the evaluation, such as the regular formative assessment and timely feedback sessions throughout the intern year. The formative assessments are as follows:
- Final oral presentation and written abstract
- Satisfaction & Comments/Feedback for the pharmacy internship
