Since 2003, to deal with the increasing burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD), the Division of Nephrology of the VGHTPE has implemented the CKD prevention program and served as one of the first 5 “Kidney Health Promotion Institutions” in Taiwan. Over the past decade, the CKD Coordinated Care center in our Division of Nephrology has cared about more than 6000 patients with advanced CKD. Our distinguished achievement has also been recognized and has won the golden awards for the quality competition of the Kidney Health Promotion Institutions in 2020 and 2021.
