We aim to improve clinical outcome of patients with infectious diseases through the appropriate use of antibiotics. We provide infectious disease (ID) consultation to enhance care quality for patients treated at various departments. Preauthorization and prospective audit with feedback are utilized to reduce the overuse or/and misuse of restricted antibiotics. Automatic alert system is built into the electronic prescription system to prevent inappropriate antibiotic use. In addition to improving patient outcome, we are also dedicated to curbing the rising prevalence of antimicrobial resistance through minimizing the collateral damage caused by excessive antibiotic use.
