Glaucoma is a group of diseases that cause irreversible visual loss. Timely diagnosis and intervention can slow the rate of optic nerve head damage to preserve visual function.
Comprehensive care with leading technologies
Glaucoma specialists at Taipei Veterans General Hospital provide comprehensive care for glaucoma, including medical therapy, laser treatments, and surgical intervention. We incorporate optic nerve imaging, anterior segment imaging, functional tests, and specialized diagnostic program to facilitate the diagnosis and follow-up management of glaucoma. We offer both traditional filtering surgery and the latest Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS),1,2,3 being the leading center performing the XEN Gel Stent implantation in Taiwan. Our doctors are specially trained in glaucoma and well-recognized for their expertise in taking care of all forms of glaucoma, as well as second opinion consultation about the diagnosis and care of glaucoma.
