The Neuro-Ophthalmology & Strabismus Section takes care of patients with visual loss/visual field defect and eye movement abnormalities cause by various intraocular (eye), intraorbital, intracranial (brain) and myopathic disorders. Our specialists are among the top experts in their field and have advanced training in neuro-ophthalmology, strabismus (both pediatric and adult), and amblyopia. We are well-equipped to treat patients with the full range of neuro-ophthalmic conditions, such as:

  • Diagnosis of complex central nervous system, optic nerve and intraocular disorders that affect vision
  • Diagnosis of optic neuropathy caused by inflammation, ischemia, hereditary, compressive/infiltrative, trauma, toxin and infection
  • Brain tumor/stroke that cause visual loss or double vision
  • Multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica or MOG related disorders that affect visual function
  • Unexplained visual loss
  • Cranial nerve and myopathic problems that affect eye movements, including thyroid eye disease and myasthenia gravis
  • Nystagmus
  • Pupillary disorders
  • Strabismus surgery
  • Standard strabismus surgery for general strabismus, thyroid eye disease and other associated strabismus
  • Extraocular muscle transposition/myopexy surgery for complex strabismus
  • Botox injection for strabismus

2. A 6-Week, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Cariprazine in the Acute Exacerbation of Schizophrenia, with an Additional 18-Week Blinded Extension Period
