Overview：Musculoskeletal ultrasound uses sound waves to assess joints and supporting tissue such as tendons, ligaments, muscles, and cartilage. This exam is often used to evaluate the space between your joints and interacting tissue when looking for muscle/tendon tears or for fluid buildup and inflammation.

Features：Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a painless tool and performed in real time in the diagnosis of chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, and orthopedic and sports injuries such as rotator cuff tears.

Procedure：During a musculoskeletal ultrasound, a hand-held scanning device called a transducer is pressed on your skin. The transducer sends out inaudible, high-pitched sound waves that travel through the body.The transducer converts wave activity into accurate pictures of muscle, tendon, and other structures.

Notification：In total the procedure should take only 15 to 30 minutes. You’ll be able to resume normal activity once your visit is complete.
